We are very excited to have the knowledgeable Matěj Jurenka come and teach a day of workshops at PYC Rejskova!
This 2-part workshop series will take place on Sunday October 19th in our Rejskova Studio and is open to everyone able and willing.
9-11.30am
Flexibility & Mobility Workshop
Learn how to strengthen your joints and lengthen your muscles to prepare for more advanced yoga positions like front splits or side splits. We will not only dive into the secrets of yoga, but we will learn some special gymnastics techniques which are rarely used in yoga classes or talked about. Frontbends, sidebends and backbends will be all included in our sequence.
Do you want to learn how to setup your own routine? We will reveal all the necessary principles to build your own yoga practice, fully focusing on your own goals.

Improve Your Balance Workshop
Explore the many various possibilities to balance your body on the legs, forearms, head and even hands. Learn how to build firmness and strength. Choosing a proper warm up, slowly we will move into balancing positions and inverted positions.
Matej is a master of handstand and he will show you what you need in order to make the first steps towards a successful handstand.
The workshops are suitable for beginners as well as advanced students.
You can choose to attend one or two workshops, and you’ll get a little discount if you attend both:

Matej Jurenka was born in Slovakia and is an international yoga teacher, calisthenics and handbalancing practitioner, creator of the method „Balance of Movement“ and "Shrivatsa Yoga" - a unique yogic system designed to build power, improve flexibility and restore balance in one own's body. This can be done by realizing one own's inner potential. .
„Balance of movement“ is a non-dogmatic method based on the idea of a consciouss self-development through the development of the body. The method is a combination of yoga, martial arts, therapeutic dance, handbalancing and calisthenics.
Everything is in a constant movement. Every single cell and every single atom is constantly vibrating. Vibration is movement. Through movement we are expressing our intention. That’s why it is important to do it correctly. The natural consequence of correct movement is healthy, happy and balanced lifestyle.
Matej has taught yoga in Shanghai for 7 years and has been traveling and teaching workshops around the whole world. Among the countries where he has taught were Japan, China, Singapore, Bali, Thailand, Malaysia, Brazil, Germany and Slovakia.
