& Workshop

Mitch will lead you through a Mayurasana workshop that breaks down Peacock Pose with clarity, control, and heat where it counts.

If you can’t make the workshop, you can catch Mitch teaching two different public classes.

This intelligently sequenced 2-hour workshop blends dynamic flow, targeted conditioning, and hands-on assists to safely build the foundations for Peacock: wrist strength, core integration, shoulder stability, and fearless weight-shift.

Expect preparatory drills, accessible variations, and progressive arm balances inspired by the 2nd and 3rd series of Ashtanga, all broken down in a way that meets you where you are. Whether you’re actively working toward Peacock Pose or simply want to deepen your arm-balance practice, this workshop offers tools you can take far beyond a single posture.

Come ready to sweat, explore your edge, and tap into the vibrant rhythm of a true NYC-style practice.

All levels welcome — curiosity and a willingness to play encouraged.

Peacock Pose Lab: Strength, Flow & Flight (Workshop)

February 15th, 13:30-16:00, Karlín Studio

Meet Manhattan yogi and SONICYOGA New York manager Mitch Hipp.
Drawing from over 25 years of teaching Ashtanga Vinyasa Flow to movers of all kinds — dancers, actors, and creative athletes — Mitch brings clarity, challenge, and that unmistakable NYC energy.

Every time Mitch steps on the mat, he steps into a process rather than a performance. What begins as physical movement slowly becomes a lesson in patience, adaptability, and presence. The body works, the mind softens, and expectations are gently challenged.

For Mitch, the practice isn’t about mastering poses or chasing results. It’s about listening, responding, and staying curious. Each session offers something new - sometimes clarity, sometimes confusion - and both are equally valuable. The questions that arise matter more than the answers themselves.

This ongoing exploration is what keeps him grounded and inspired. The mat becomes a place where strength and softness meet, where learning never really ends.

Come flow with Mitch. Learn more, understand less and be thrilled about it.
