We are beyond excited to welcome Raghunath (Ray Cappo) to Prague Yoga Collective for two special gatherings at our Smíchov studio.
Raghunath is a world-renowned bhakti teacher, storyteller, and kirtan leader whose life journey is truly unique. Known in the 1980s as the frontman of the influential hardcore punk bands Youth of Today and Shelter, he later left the music scene to spend years living as a monk in India, deeply immersed in yoga philosophy, meditation, and devotional practice. Today he travels the world sharing the wisdom of bhakti yoga through kirtan, retreats, workshops, and storytelling, helping students bring spiritual practice into modern life with depth, warmth, and authenticity.
These two events offer a rare opportunity to experience both sides of his teaching — the uplifting, heart-opening energy of kirtan, and the more intimate space of yoga, reflection, stories, and shared conversation.

We’ll come together to chant, connect, and experience the beauty of bhakti practice. Whether you are new to kirtan or have been chanting for years, this is a rare opportunity to practice with one of the most beloved voices in the global yoga and bhakti community.

A few days later, Raghunath returns to PYC for a special afternoon of yoga, storytelling, Q&A, and book signing.
Join us for a special gathering where Raghunath will guide a dynamic yoga class infused with bhakti philosophy, followed by an open Q&A where you can ask questions about yoga, spiritual practice, pilgrimage, and his extraordinary life path. After the class, Raghunath will also be signing and sharing his new memoir, From Punk to Monk—a heartfelt and inspiring story of his journey from the New York hardcore punk scene to years of spiritual life in India and beyond.
✨ Continue the evening with live music: At 20:00, Raghunath will take the stage again—this time with his legendary band Shelter—for a live concert at Cargo Gallery in Prague. If you want to experience the full spectrum of his story, from yoga and philosophy to high-energy music, we highly recommend joining both events.
