Inverted State of Mind: A Vinyasa Masterclass,
Friday, Oct 9th 18:30-20:30
Inverted State of Mind is an invitation to embrace the unexpected, to step beyond familiar patterns, and to explore the possibilities of your practice with curiosity and creativity.
The practice begins with a dynamic warm-up, incorporating active stretching and strengthening to prepare your body for the journey ahead. Moving through foundational sun salutations, you’ll build a cohesive flow that evolves into creative sequences, seamlessly leading toward peak postures or a central theme. Expect to explore innovative transitions, playful variations of traditional poses, and opportunities to test your limits while staying rooted in intention and awareness.
Miles’ teaching reflects his deep curiosity for how diverse movement practices can enrich yoga. Drawing from the structure of Ashtanga and Rocket Vinyasa, and inspired by his love for hand balancing, mobility, and strength training, he creates a practice that blends discipline with exploration. This unique approach offers students a chance to not only deepen their practice but to reimagine what’s possible for their bodies and minds.

You will learn how to position and move your spine and the contributing joints correctly to enhance basic positions as well as work towards more advanced ones, the anatomy of backbends to which muscles need to be engaged and lengthened, and specific techniques and exercises to create and a support a backbend practice.
The workshop is catered to support a variety of levels except complete beginners. It is important to note that the ability to perform deep backbends is not a prerequisite but we do recommend having a comfortable wheel pose.
